One of my favorite things about fall and winter is being able to finally bring back velvet into my wardrobe. Let's be serious, velvet in the spring and summer is just plain crazy because you'd sweat your butt off! I get all excited when the cold weather finally hits so I can start pairing velvet and layering. I styled my American Apparel velvet dress with a floral piece that can be worn as a dress or kimono. If you like this tight, then tie a belt around the waist to give more shape to the over coat. Otherwise, let the kimono be flowy over the bodycon. Chunky black boots and a studded wrap bracelet can help edge this piece up. All I can say is I'm thankful cold weather is finally here!
