Hi Guys! So, I have an obsession with books and reading as I'm sure lots of you do! Thus far into the new year, these 3 books are the ones I've finished up.
We All Fall Down by Nic Sheff: This book is actually a sequel to his first book, which was called "Tweak". Both books are about his ongoing struggle with addiction to heroin, mostly, but lots of other substances as well. I was absolutely consumed in this book, having anxiously awaited it's release and dying to know how the story continued. I was in tears at most times reading this, and in total shock at others. Sheff really does not hold back anything, and gives you an exclusive, gut wrenching look into his life in full detail. I read this in one day over the course of 5 hours straight. It's that good. I recommend it to everyone!
Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs: This book gave me actual chills. Infused with real, vintage (and creepy) photographs, this book is about a boy who travels to an abandoned island, only to discover this old children's home. He learns that his father used to live there, and begins to see apparitions of all the other kids as well. You never really know what's real and what's not while reading this, and that's what kept me so intrigued. I'm usually not into eerie books like this, but I loved it for sure. Here's one of my favorite photos from it:
It by Alexa Chung: Alexa Chung has been one of my fashion idols for as long as I can remember. In this biography type of book, she shares pieces of her childhood, her favorite books, and glamorizes her icons. There's a photo on almost every page too! If you like Alexa Chung, kinda like her, or are just interested by her, this is a fun read! Here's a pageset I really loved:
That's all I got! I hope everyone enjoys their day and keeps warm!
<3 Amy
