For those of you who are itching to do something new with your hair, I fully support! I can honestly say my hair has gone through more changes than I ever thought it would in the past three years. Sometimes we need to experiment with crazy colors and cuts to get excited about our hair and style again. I wanted to show you guys my hair journey, and offer up some hairstyles and colors that I'm really into now that will hopefully inspire all of you!
Here's my three year journey! (aka learning patience):
These past three years have taught me patience with growing out my hair, but also have brought me so much excitement! Playing with colors and shapes can get you feeling rejuvenated and fresh. Now that my hair is getting longer, I'm constantly looking for inspiration on what to do next. I wanted to share with you all some hair-spiration!:
1. Lily Collins
I'm so in love with Lily Collins' hair because of the simple cut next to such strong browns and popping lip. I've had bangs for so long and have been thinking about middle parts lately. For those of you who have always had bangs, maybe think about changing it up and go for a new part. Changing your part can immediately make your hair look and feel new!
2. Alexa Chung
If you're feeling adventurous with the middle part, take it a step further and change up the color! I love Alexa Chung's signature ombre color. Not only is she a fabulous fashion icon, but she's also a hair icon too! She definitely knows how to rock the bed head look with grace.
3. Rachel McAdams
I've had such a big girl crush on Rachel McAdams ever since I was reciting Mean Girls lines and wishing for my own Noah. Talk about color! Rachel always has the cutest hair (I used to love her pastel pink highlights), and I'm really loving this bold orange/red. She proves that you can keep a traditional cut while playing up the color.
4. Kaylah from The Dainty Squid
This girl seriously knows how to wear vibrant, fun colors and always looks great while doing it! You should check out her blog for hair color inspiration because she constantly changes her color while keeping the same adorable blunt bangs and bob. Not to mention her quirky, feminine outfits pair well with her hair, and you may find some further fashion inspiration by visiting her blog!
5. Emma Watson
Okay, I know I said I have a huge girl crush on Rachel McAdams, but Emma Watson is seriously awesome. I've been following her on her hair journey ever since she went for a short pixie all the way to these beautiful braids! She shows that taking a chance on short hair is totally worth it because it looks great while it's short, and it WILL grow back!
Hopefully this has given some of you inspiration on cutting, coloring, or doing both to your hair! Sometimes I feel we are itching for change and bringing something new to your hair can make you feel excited and confident. Not to mention you'll look like a total babe!
