Remember when I never wore jeans guys?! Now I own 3 pairs (which for me, is  a lot) and I can't wait to keep growing my collection. I never had the patience to look for brands and styles that fit me best, but some weird twist of fate happened when I moved to the city, and the past 2 times I've tried on jeans, they were perfect at first try. I feel like I have so much more freedom and room for options now that I've added the classic back into my wardrobe. 

And so, My mock neck obsession continues. I loved this sweater so much that I bought it in 2 colors. It's sleeveless, so it's going to be perfect for layering this fall and winter. When I bought them, I picked up these sunnies too and I couldn't be more in love with the clear frames and mirrored lenses. I love the boldness of them, and if you're wondering where I'm looking, now you'll never know. 

I really have no words to explain my excitement about this $6 jacket I thrifted. Giant houndstooth print is something I lust after, yet own very few things of that pattern. I can't wait to style this jacket different ways! Would you guys be interested in a 3 part post of 3 different ways to style it?!

Yesterday Michael and I headed out early to a show in Mass. I never know what the temp will be like at venues (especially this time of year), so layers it was for me! I feel like its just crisp enough to bring back my favorite velvet leggings, and my moto jacket came in handy once the sun went down!

When Voodoo Vixen contacted us asking to style some of their merchandise, we were more than excited.  There are a lot of different things we love about this company! Each dress has a flattering shape and will easily compliment any body shape. In addition, a plus size collection is soon to come.  The variety of prints and patterns make their pieces easy to personalize. We decided to bring an edgier western flare to these 50’s pin up silhouettes.

RUSTIC COLORS

Hey Bloomers! This Saturday was my definition of perfect spring weather. I'm loving the forsythia at my house. The bright yellow makes such an appearance letting me know it's really spring! 

I was so excited to finally do some light layering with this shawl cardigan. My aunt gave me this lovely orange overcoat. I love how a rustic orange looks against turquoise so I had to wear my necklace and bracelet. I've also been really dedicated to my black fringe bag lately, but I left it at Danny's house so it forced me to choose another purse from my collection. I love this double button cross-body purse that Danny bought me. I knotted the top so that I could hang it on one shoulder for the day.

This weeks Feature Friday is Sarah! I (Amy) have been best friends with this girl for close to 20 years. Having a job with a strict dress policy, she has to make sure that her days off count by wearing what truly represents her. We love that she kept her outfit very simple while still adding interest with prints and textiles like her cotton floral shorts and leather jacket. Her heart shaped sunnies and vibrant lips make us fall more in love with her! During the spring time, it's fun to add extra accessories and accents to make your look more playful. Follow her here!

CROWN OF GOLD, HEART OF DAISIES

You'd never know it snowed two days ago in CT with the looks of how beautiful the weather was the day after. Amy took these shots of me yesterday and it was gorgeous out--sunny and 60 degrees! It got me really excited to do an outfit post. I don't know what's with me and this gold/mustard color lately, but I've really been into it. 

I think the favorite part about my outfit is my hair! I've been wanting to do a crown braid, but was unsure how to. I texted my cousin, Sassy (because she is great with hair among other things!), and she sent me this amazing tutorial video on how to dutch braid my hair into the crown style. I'll definitely be doing this more often :)
