LACE BELL-SLEEVE LOVIN'

posted on: Saturday, July 26, 2014

My obsession with lace continues. This lace bell-sleeve kimono has me so excited for the end of summer transitioning to fall. I love being able to pair a kimono like this with a 90's floral dress and western belt. This will definitely be a favorite piece this season.

On a side note, my hair is finally feeling longer and I've been so excited to be experimenting more with braids! A braid post may be soon to come. Any thoughts?

CUBAN COFFEE QUEEN

posted on: Friday, May 23, 2014

We biked back to our house so I could show you more details of this dress because it's my new favorite! Plus, this back yard is like its own tropical paradise, and I never want to leave.

Between relaxing by the pool and bike riding around this small island, there is always time for coffee. My dad, Danny, and I headed out for a walk to the marina to go to a small coffee stand called Cuban Coffee Queen. I'm always in the mood for a good iced coffee, especially when it's so hot out! My favorite thing about this coffee: coffee ice cubes. I have to start making some myself! On a different note, I was so happy to rock a crown braid and no makeup again, and I LOVE my Free People dress because it's so pretty that it stands as a statement piece. I'm going to apologize ahead of time for posting this dress more than once this summer; I just can't help it!

VIBE$

So yesterday was super windy and getting pictures where my hair wasn't in my mouth or face was tough, ha! Anyways, I'm so in love with this faux leather mini skirt that I had to share with you guys. I found it at H&M priced at $50, but when I got up to the register it rang up $9.99! It was meant to be and I had to have it. I wish I could've gotten a better shot of the adorable belt detail on the side, but you get the idea! I loved how it looked paired with a simple yet fun graphic tee and statement booties.

Do you guys have any favorite pieces that you found way cheaper than what you were willing to pay?! It's the best when that happens!

SPRING IN THE SUN

posted on: Saturday, March 22, 2014

I recently purchased a neutral density filter for my Canon so that I can take some day time shots of Danny fly fishing. When it came in the mail I was overjoyed to go and try it out. Danny and I headed to Indian Ledge park in my town to take some pictures. I'm glad we went because we wound up sitting down on the wooden bridge and enjoying the warm sun. It's still so cold in CT, but when you find a quiet moment in the sun it feels like spring. I snapped this picture of the river from the bridge we were sitting on. I'm excited for moments like this to come as the days get longer and warmer.

While we were there I had Danny snap a few pictures of my outfit. I felt pretty casual, but that my style personality was shining through. I love anything lace, denim, and southwestern print. Also, I will forever love my mallard bolo!

I hope you all have a great weekend :)
