SUNFLOWER SUMMER

One of the things that I love best about summer is the ease of outfitting. This past weekend Danny and I headed back to his parents house and stayed the weekend. I love going there because it's so quiet and peaceful in the fields and barn. I couldn't resist having him take a few pictures of me. I love this Some Days Lovin dress because it's light weight and has one of my favorite flowers on it! I've also been totally into my wool hat as a simple accessory to any outfit. New England summers can be so unpredictable, and so far there's been some comfortable days where my wool hat can be included. Do you Bloomers have any hat suggestions?

Today I wanted to feature a company out of Arcadia, CA that delivers a line of quality goods and craftsmanship. Created by Steven Dang, Railcar Fine Goods has a variety of shirts, jeans, and even pomade! Being a girl, it's been extremely difficult finding a pair of heavier selvedge denim that is a skinny fit and high rise. I couldn't be happier with these jeans because they meet all of those requirements, not to mention I'm always happy to buy clothes made in the USA. WARMTH OF WINTER

Before heading to VT this past weekend, I got to experience the promise of Spring (I know it will eventually get here!). With more snow on the way later this week, I was so excited to go outside before the next storm and be comfortable without a jacket, scarf or gloves! I decided to layer one of my favorite sweaters with a dress that I've had for a while now. To top it all off I wore the necklace that Amy's good friend Nicole made for me! She's seriously the sweetest, and I adore this necklace.

SUNDAY FAVORITES

This past week has been so chilly and full of freezing snow that I decided to take it indoors for some outfit pictures! I wanted to bring you a post without layers, so here's my favorite tunic that I've had for almost five years. I think it's good to have a "go to" piece when you feel like looking comfortably cute. I clean out my wardrobe from time to time, but pieces like this always remain because they grow with my style and sense of self!

WINTERGREEN // SUNDAY

Hey guys! Sorry it's been a few days since we last posted. My last spring semester just started and things have been a bit crazy, but I wanted to bring you all an outfit post. Danny and our two friends, Chris and Colin, headed out to Wintergreen Lake today in Hamden. It was frigid outside, hence my all black tundra outfit (take that cold!). I wanted to show you how cold days can still be dress-cute days. Denim definitely helps beat the windchill along with a down coat and beanie. I also wore my convertible gloves because they give my hands some more freedom. If you live in a cold state (or are just a victim of these arctic blasts), I encourage you to go out! Even if it's just for a bit. Lipstick included.
